hi jim, i know it has been a long time since i have talked or written. i think we all feel the way you do. i saw you a few times at dia, and i just did not have the guts or knowlege of how to approach you, annie had a great affect on me, although we had such a short time together , through the years. i think of her all the time and know she is not far away. everytime i look at my kitties i remember how she and you loved your pets as much as i do, and i think she would like me to write now. being lost, i think is part of the process and by moving through your personal things, and having the strength to do so, is paramount in your journey. i read all of your notes, just to make sure i get every tid bit of annie, and i felt i needed to respond to your latest note. when i lost my best freind and confidant, my brother, in 1992, i thought i would never recover, however i did, and i cherish his memory by never going a day without thinking of him. life has gone on and the short time we had together on this earth, the lessons, the laughter, the fighting, the love, the dissagreements and how we navigated through them, i embrace through my daily life. so, i never have lost him, we are just separated by this thing called emotion, and life. i know both of them are here everyday and as i ask , they guide. and if you are talking to yourself, so what, good, at least you are taking it head on, as i know annie would want. good luck to you and please know i think of you often and sent love and light. steve

Jim,
I have done a very poor job of keeping up with the website. I logged in today only to discover that Annie passed in January. I am so very sorry. I know that we never met, but I will keep you in my prayers. As stated in my comments from November, the few times that I was around Annie, I loved her company. She was a great girl, and I can’t imagine the pain that you are dealing with. God bless you, and stay strong.

Jim,
It is nice to hear that you are doing well and settling into a routine. Having your friends and family around you must help. Take care of yourself. Dave and I think of you often. Kiersten

Dear Jim,

I recently heard about Annie. Annie was always such a beautiful person both inside and out. Thanks for sharing her last moments with all of us. I want to share an Irish poem that I think you will appreciate.

“In Memory Of Those Loved”

May you always walk in sunshine
And God’s love around you flow;
For the happiness you gave us,
No one will ever know.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
But you did not go alone;
A part of us went with you
The day God called you home.
A million times we’ve needed you,
A million times we’ve cried.
If love could only have saved you,
You never would have died.
(Traditional Irish)

Respectfully,
Ellen DePaolo

Jim,

Glad you made it home safely, I can only imagine how different it feels for you. Keeping up on reading all your updates , I always knew you are a good guy , but you have shown all of us such a dedication that goes beyond the words of Strength.. You are Incredible and I wish you well. Please allow yourself to grieve your loss , Time doesn't always heal all wounds but it will help. Annie will Never be forgotten .
Peace to you

Jim,
I am so sorry about Annie passing away. She was so young yet, and had so much to offer everyone. However in life we face sometimes unexplainable pain, and suffering. That is all part of our human make up. We don't live in a perfect world or perfect bodies. I relate fully to Annie's pain, as I have Ovarian Cancer as well. While mine has been responding to treatment, and markers are down, I knowq how awful the chemo is and the surgery. I just pray that mine will stay in remission and not reoccur. Annie demonstrated great strength and above all of her suffering, she loved with a wholeness of her being. I will remember her always and her compassion. I wish you tomorrows full of her love, inside your spirit, where you can gain strength and renew your mind and your heart. These will be the gifts that Annie gives you, along with the beauty of precious memories and many happy days from times past. Someday Jim, we will see our loved ones again. Please let me know if I can help in any way.

Jim: I hope that you can find comfort in the fact that Anne is finally at peace. She truly lived every day . She was an inspiration and will be fondly remebered and dearly missed.

Aunt Jackie, Uncle George and cousins. We were blessed that she was given to us for 38 wonderful years. She was special and will live in each of you for ever more.
May we be also blessed with the strength and courage of Anne when we must move on.

In my thoughts.
