Hope your doing better Annie. I know the chemo is awful, but the hope is in its outcome. I will keep you in my prayers. Let me know if there is anything that I can do to make your road less bumpy.

Hi Annie,
I’m not sure that you remember me, but we have met, and partied, a couple of times together. I am a friend of Bill’s, and he and I worked together in BNA. I first met you in BNA. Several years ago, my husband Greg and I came out to DEN to visit Judy and Scott Duke, and we spent time with you and Bill then. Judy was the one who told me about your cancer. I am so sorry to hear this. I know that you have a fight on your hands, but there are lots of people praying for you, including myself. Hope you continue to improve, and I will keep an eye on this website to check your status.
Sincerely,
Jana Cornell-Alverides

Hi Annie and Jim:
This is my first time at your website. what a great way to keep updated wtih you both. I just sent a box to Annie via IAD/BTV and addressed it to Duane. He can bring it by when he gets it. It is just a little something for you, Annie, and then a little something in the card for you both. I wanted to send something to Sully, but had to get the box sent and did not have a dog toy on hand! By the way, we have a new little yellow lab, Matrix, who we are raising as a “service dog”. He will help someone in a wheelchair someday. We will only have him 2 1/2 years and then he moves on.
I know this Christmas is so very hard on you both, but we are all thinking of you and wish you all the best that can possibly come your way.
I woke up today, the 24th, and thought of you both, as usual. It is one of those gorgeous, gorgeous mornings where the sky has this lovely color as the the sun rises. You know it is going to be a clear, beautiful day. There was some ice on the trees and the branches caught the first rays of sun. How lovely. You could see all the bare branches against the clear morning. Next I heard all this crunching and along came a herd of deer running thru the woods. I though of that song “the Holly and the Ivy” which references the “running of the deer”, and it is a Christmas song! It was so special to see those deer run through the woods on such a beautiful morning. I thought of your beautiful soul, Annie, and how I think those deer ran with a bit of you in them…free, happy, and moving forward with their heads held up high….a little scared sometimes, but always moving forward…like you have been through your illness and how you will be when it is over…free.
You are loved by so many, Annie. I feel so honored that you and Jim were here at my house for that short while. We enjoyed many good times sipping wine at the camp together. Remember how frustrated you were with Sully and being stuck home with him while Jim worked? That was funny!
I hope you enjoy the little care package. Know that you are in my heart everyday. May God Bless you and your family. Merry Christmas and all the best for the New Year. Give Sully a pat for me and a big, big hug to you and Jim.
Love,
Julie….from ALB!
